Default Help needed in choosing motherboard for P4 2.66 ghz


Hi all,

My Motherboard Asus P5GL-Mx got damaged and I'm going to buy a new motherboard. I want to know whether the latest motherboards available in the market will support my P4 2.66 ghz processor. Plz any one suggest me the list of motherboards that support my type of processot bcoz i'm not in situation to buy a new processor as my processor is working fine.

Well, tht's a 478-pin mobo...so though luck..unless you get this board:

if that is ...its LG775 socket mobo ..and u can go for Asus P5kpl-cm mobo for about 2.8k ....or if u want to go for intel mobo DG31PR for 3.1k

+1 for ingame as you already menioned its LGA775, get DG31 based mobos

Well....u cud also go for 610i since they hav better integrated gfx....

Yup NVIDIA IGPs are better than Intel's. So I suggest a good 610i based mobo. Palit N73-PV or Jetway 610i.

Just bear in mind one thing.....

no dual channel ram

630 chipset is best Palit N73-PV in 2.8K being the best run.

630i for ddr2 800MHz RAM

610i not cause only 667MHz ram support!!!!!!!!

Thanks for ur suggestions. I bought Gigabyte 945 GC S series motherboard and a 1 gb ddr 2 ram for rs 3000.
