Unhappy Problem with USB: This device can perform faster.

Quote:
This USB device can perform faster if you connect it to a Hi speed USB 2.0 ports.
This is the message which I get when I connect any pen drive to the my office PC.
It has two front and 4 back USB ports.
Earlier this problem was with the front ports only but now , one back port has started showing same warning and rest three ports are not working at all.

What would have gone wrong. Please help because the slower port are taking full one hour to transfer 3.5gb file.

I posted a solution to this LONG BACK with screenshots but I cannot find the post. Anyway, here goes. Go to Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device manager

See if there are any yellow question marks against USB hub. If yes then right click on that and select update driver->No don't connect to the internet this time (to search for driver)

Next

It will automatically load the USB 2.0 drivers if it is XP SP2 or SP3
