Default 9600gt compatibility with d101ggc

i own a d101ggc motheboard with 2.66 P4 + 512 sd ram. i wanna buy 9600 gt nvidia card but ppl tell me that my pc configuration is slow and the card will not give its full performance on this pc. i wanna play Assasin's Creed and the upcoming TombRaider-Underworld.

Q1. is t true that the card will not give its full performance on this pc?
Q2. what is the bottle neck? p4, sd ram or d101?
Q3. what other vgacard options do i have?

I dunno if D101gc even supports PCIe Express 2.0 cards...so halt ur buying process a while.
And if it does, ur procc will be still okay, but u won't get the actual perforamance.
I suggest go for 9500GT PCIe card if ur mobo only supprts PCIe

I dunno if its compatible or not but it surely will be a bottleneck so dont buy it. Go for a full system upgrade.

Rather than buying a GFX card better upgrade your PC and play games on integrated graphics till you Purchase a GFX card

D101GGC was a basic Mobo from Intel... If you are tight on Budget, get yourself an 8600GT (256Mb DDR3). Otherwise, if you would probably upgrade the Mobo, Proccy etc. soon, then go for the 9600.... Cos the Motherboard and Processor would bottleneck the performance of the Card...
