Sound Card with 5.1 support!

Hi..fellas'..

Guyz i wanna know if my sound card supports 5.1 audio.? I have toshiba A50 laptop with SigmaTel sound card. Model No: SigmaTel C-Major Audio.. How do i know if it supports 5.1?

Also..which is better deal...Logitech X-540 speakers for $99 (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/sp...ers/&cl=us,en#) with possibly a USB sound card from creative for $59 (http://us.creative.com/products/prod...&product=17751). total = $158 OR Bose Acoustimass 3 speaker system for $ 199 .

Please i need your precious advise!

Bose costs just a tad too much, but the performance is xtremely good, get it
