Very good choice dude....Go pick it and dont waste ur time thinking those over priced cards....
HD4850 performs like a 9800GTX+ which is really priced too high than a HD4850..
The price drop may be a lil bit and not too steep.... like a 600 to 1200 bucks for the proccy... That doesnt make huge difference..
GTX260 Core 216 was already released and EVGA was the brand that u buy at the moment..

Price drop wont affect u too much.. Just a few hundred bucks.....

what the point of gtx260 core 216 ...its against the competition for HD4870 ...not against Hd4850 ...and any ways HD4870 1Gb thrashes gtx260 core 216 ...its again behind

U mite wanna wait, cause nehalem will be here in jus 2 months, and will cause ruckus in prices of Core 2 Duos.......
But you shud get the E7200 if u noe how to OC, @ 4Ghz, it performs better than the Q9450 to be precise.

If u can extend ur budget by 2k, or get E7200 to save 2k, then go for OCZ 1066MHz 2GB @ 4k, better OC + Full potential of procc used = Happy gamer
