How do i know i'm running sata ??

i've a lenovo y410 laptop which comes with vista. so i downgraded to xp, for which i used a slipstreamed installation disk. everything's up &running fine. but the problem is, the sata drivers i had slipstreamed were intended for dell inspiron 1420, which i never ended up buying. now how do know if my drives are actually running in sata mode??

p.s. - i installed xp sp1.

if you wanted to install XP on your SATA hdd you should have just changed the compatibility mode in BIOS

Sata is not a mode, it is a way of connection. If your SATA drive works, sata works, else, it doesnt, and your drive wont be detected at all. XP SP2 includes most major sata drivers default within it.
