Default Lan connection issue with Windows XP

Hi,

I am a regular user to visit the threads and see what's new in forums.

Here is an issue. When I connect my both the machines in hub, I could view the details including files and folders from both the machines after log in from one machine (192.168.1.2).

I use a Netgear hub 8-1 Port. 8th being the Internet connection for sharing. 2 and 3 is being used for sharing computers over LAN. From the beginning, I couldn't establish the net connection for sharing, but could access the machine contents from one to other and vice versa.

Start > Run

\\192.168.1.3

to view the contents from other machine. The same way from \\192.168.1.2 when logged in 192.168.1.3

Now the issue is that, I couldn't establish a connection from the machine 192.168.1.3 to view all the shared folders and files. How this issue is resolved?

Please do advice in this issue.

Regards,
Kungra.

Default Re: Lan connection issue with Windows XP

If I am not wrong, are you trying to access Internet from both the PCs ?
If yes, then check your gateway settings in 192.168.1.3 PC
