Unhappy Sudden Power Off

Hi..
I am facing an unusual problem for the last three months.
My pc powers off all of a sudden, no overheating problem, i changed my heatsink paste. But of no results, when i took it for repair, there it was running smoothly, but after returning back home this same problems occurs. I have recently changed my motherboard. My config is: P IV 3 ghz HT, intel 945 gcnl mobo, 1 gb ddr2 ram, 256 mb graphics card, 250 gb SATA hdd.

Thanks in advance.

1. Check SMPS, use a friend's SMPS for a few days.
2. Check your house's power cables... Check the socket the comp is connected to.

1) PSU problem. Use someone else's as suggested above.
2) RAM problem. Run a MemTest.

Get a UPS(has inbuilt Voltage regulator+Surge Protection+Backup)...i think ur power supply voltage is fluctuating or having higher/lower voltage than the range or 190v to 270v A.C...better get ur supply checked by an electrician.......

if u have a knowledge of using Digi. multimeter.......try checking the supply voltage-should show around 210-270V A.C(if ur are skilled at it else don't try..be careful doing that-dont touch any terminals by mistake)

do you have a UPS?
if yes get it checked.....or try connecting your system directly to the power socket.
