Creative sound blaster 5.1 + Altec Lansing VS3251

Hi guys..

Finally I have purchased Creative SB 5.1 and connected it with my Altec..I switch on the speakers, press 5.1 button in the remote..everythin works fine except for the Center/SW. There is no sound at all from it.

Searched net, one solution is to pull out the Center/SW pin from the speaker and it should work. !@#$%

I did the same, but nothing changed..but I noticed when unplugging and replugging there was sound from Center/SW..so out of curiosity I slowly plugged in the cable and half way thru I get the SW and Center sound.

Now I have left the SW/Center cable plugged in halfway in the Speaker.

Why is this happening???

Any Solutions???

so is everything working fine now? cos even if the cable is just half plugged in, as long as its working properly there shudnt be any problem.

^^I agree..but curious 2 knw why is it happ..also sometimes the jack looses and power to SW/Center stops. So need FIX.
