Motherboard Under 3K !!!
Hey,
Can any one tell me where can I get Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L motherboard in Kolkata and also the approximate price ???
Can I get a review on this mobo ?
What are the other option available for 3K ?
My friend want to upgrade his CPU,Mobo and RAM(total 8-10K).
He may use Intel E2180 or Intel E7200.
He has not decided yet.

Thats about 4k.... if u want a mobo under 3k go for ASUS P5N-MX - 2.5k or ZEB NF-7050 - 2.3k

Intel DG31GL - 2.8k
Zebronics NF7050 - 2.1K
Asus P5KPL- VB(G31 Chipset) - 2.7k
It would be a good combi to use one of the above mobo with E7200 although I would recommend AMD X3 8450 which costs less than E7200 and would be more future proof bcoz of additional core in it.

I remember seeing one or two Gigabyte boards with G31 chipset (and WITH PCIe x16) online for around 2.9K.

Consider a Mobo wid worst onboard gfx and we left wid no choice other than stick with its sucking onboard gfx since it doesnt have any PCIe or even an AGP slot.....

I run my 8800GT on it.So it does have a PCI E slot.
So I think u get the point.
It isn't that bad a board as u express it.

Nope the model you spoke about was a different one.
DG31PR - This one has PCI-X
DG31GL - This one does not
costwise they are only seperated by less than 300 bucks.

Gigabyte GA-EG31MF-S2(rev 2) is around 3.2K good for OC also
Anyhow in 3K budget DG31 chipset based mobos are better (if you do not consider intel's bad onboard gfx) check Gigabyte and MSI site for all DG31 mobos
Besides this is Palit N73PV in 2.7K based on nVidia 630i chipset and nVidia 7100 gfx far more better than asus p5n mx and also good for OCing
Besides these if you can find Biostar intel DG31 chipset or nVidia 630i mobos they are also big VFM

A P35a chipset for 3k is much better.
No OC issues, no PCIE blah blah issues(that's what i know).
