Please suggest Mother Board.

Hi Guys,

I have an old P4 2.8GHz processor (511) whose motherboard died some months ago.

I also have an additional 1 Gb DDR2 (667MHz) RAM and also 2x512Mb DDR1 RAM (Leftover from the old Motherboard), an 80Gb SATA HDD & Cabinet.

Please suggest me a low cost motherboard, so that I can hook up this rig.

This would only be used for running Softwares like QTP, SilkTest, Loderunner and Winrunner with Windows XP as the OS and some regular internet browsing.

This is just to be used as an additional Computer and want to keep the cost as low as possible.

The board can either support DDR2 RAM or DDR1 RAM... I have all other components....

Please help.....

Cant help it. P4 supporting Mobos are out of market.

If you are lucky then get hold of an old 845 chipset. Otherwise, bad-luck .

Thanks a lot bro... But I was going through the Intel website as well and I see that the P4 I have is a 775-LGA, so can I not get a 965 Mobo?

And, eVGA nForce 610i, I heard is a good mobo. May I know its price?

first tell me that is ur processor pin-less ?

if yes then go for d915gav with pin less socket.

Yep, it is PIN less.....

And, does d915gav support Dual-channel mode for DDR1 RAM? cos as I have mentioned, I have two sticks of DDR400 RAM..
