Help !!My PC does not BOOT...

When i switch on my ups the cpu turns on automatically & after a few moments it turns off..after some time it turns on but at the POST screen it beeps once followed by 2-3 beeps & then restarts...it hasn't booted even once...what is the problem?
config- P4@2.4Ghz, Asrock p4i45gl m/b, 512 mb ram...

Is your processor FAN running ?? Look in side the cabinet and see if the processor FAN is running at proper speed !!!!

The CMOS battery cld be discharged

can you go into Bios? If yes then go into the bios and make changes to boot order, then reboot and see if the boot order is the same..

2. remove your ram and put it back again, in a different slot. Also Check power connections to motherboard/hdd

Lastly.. remove all non essential components from ur pc -pci cards, usb stuff, keyboard/mouse cdrom etc etc.
Try to boot.
