Default Monitor - No signal - Machine reboots

I have a Viewsonic VA712 17" monitor. GEForce 6100 graphics Card.
Lately while surfing the net or working on the comp in general, suddenly the screen turns balck, shows No Signal and then the machine reboots.
What can be done to resolve this issue?
Regards,

r u working on higher resolution than supported by your monitor and GPU.

Have you checked your SMPS maybe it has gone bad.

check your graphics card..oops it is integrated so no go..

instead check your ram...take it out..clean the connector with eraser and then reseat..
usually a memory problem can caused that to happen
use memtest or someother similar programs to scan the memory for errors

you might want to get hold of a pci express graphics card (dedicated) from someone and try it on your system and that could pinpoint integrated graphics problem or motherboard related one.
