Default Dead Pixels on Dell Inspiron

I have a Dell Inspiron 1420 laptop which I bought in November last year.
It has now developed 2 dead pixels on its screen.

Does Dell replace screens having 2 dead pixels? What is their policy?

I have the normal 1 year NBD warranty.

you need to have at least 6 dead pixels if you want a screen replacement from dell. however, if you have one at the dead center of the screen, then you might get an immediate replacement.

Some suspect pixels, whether white, black, or discolored, can be restored by lightly rubbing the panel.

1. Locate the suspect pixel on the LCD panel.

2. Using a clean, soft cloth, lightly tap the pixel.

3. Using the cloth, apply light pressure to the pixel and rub in a circular motion around the pixel
