Default Intel Centrino 2 Laptops

Hi,

Please let me know whether Intel Centrino 2 (Montevina) Laptops are available in India now. If yes, what are those brands & models ?

Any idea about if & when Dell refreshing their XPS laptops with Intel Centrino 2 ?

Thanks,
Sumit

Default HP dv5-1015tx notebook with Intel P7350 processor

Hi,

hp dv5-1015tx notebook is now available in india. It's based on intel centrino 2 (montevina) platform. But it's processor is P7350, instead of the usual P8400 or P8600 or T9xxx .
Can anyone please tell me whether this notebook is worth buying ? What about the little known P7350 processor ?

Thanks,
Sumit

Default Re: Intel Centrino 2 Laptops

its a huge plus. I have checked the specs in ezone, Bangalore, I was damn awed by the config. Its a good laptop proccy, just if you can get the RAM upgraded to 4GB it would be good. Otherwise latter on when you wanna change it your 1 GB RAM will be wasted as it will support max of 4 GB RAM only IMO has 2 DIMMs

Its greatest plus is the 9600GT 512MB GPU. And being a HP its overall bundle is very good, better than any of the Dell. Check this thread Is HP DV5-1015tx or Dell XPS M1530 Better Choice?

Thread is not even a day old.
