Can it?.Please recommend one within 1.5-2k.

Yes it can.
Get a Lite On one or Samsung one.
Both are less than 1.5k

ask for SAMSUNG 22x SATA DVD RW ... dnt pay more than 1100 bucks.

Yes Bro it can... you can go for any of DVD RW they all are now within 2k... but
u should go with the one whose service center is nearby to u...

Now LiteOn makes for MoserBear.
They cost 1100 INR ... And the SATA DVD Writers cost 1200-1300 INR.
