Intel C2D E8400 @ 3GHz for 8k
Transcend 2GB RAM @ 800MHz for 1.9k
ABit IP35-E for 5.3k
Palit ATI HD 4850 for 11k
Samsung SH-203B for 1.2k ... or Lite On one for 1.3k

Now you are left with 14k ....
So Dell 20" or Viewsonic 20" is for u ....

Neither should be a problem for gaming provided the Q6600 is overclocked to some degree, but since few games can make good use of more than two threads, the E8400 is generally considered better for gaming since it can normally clock higher.

now this time the game coming they used more than two core like Alan wake,UT3 and good GPU like 3870 with 512MB RAM or above this requirement r normal now and 45nm penryn is ok not much better than 65nm in performance.Intel GHz race then core then power consumption then ????

Alan Wake isn't released yet.So we have to wait.
And UT3 didn't utilise both the cores.

E8400 is a good overclocker.
E8400 can be overclocked to 4GHz(and is stable too)... At 4GHz games perform exceedingly well on it when coupled with a nice GPU.

But for high intensive applications Core 2 Quad is better.(Like 3d video editing,Maya, etc.)

As he is asking for a multimedia pc therefore intel 8300 would be better as he has not mentioned that he is going for high end computation.

absolutely right why really spend on just proccy too much.
If I have to mark for really multimedia performance I will mark the monitor first. and say Dell 2208WFP model ~ 17K and then mobo + proccy + GPU in rest 23 K,

Proccy E7200 ~ 5.5K or E8400 ~ 8K

Mobo MSI P45 Neo/Abit IP35E/Asus P5Q ~ 5.4-8K (according to me best VFM wud be MSI P45 Neo)

GPU - 512 MB DDR3 9600GT or 512 MB DDR3 HD4850 whichever you want according to your thinking of price
9600GT 512 you can get 6-7.5K accordiing to company n makes
better choice would be HD4850 in 9-10K

2GB single sick ~ 1800
DVD Burner Samsung/Sony 1200-1300 there is new 22x drive from samsung 203B is not there now 223 series

now things are upto Pravas how he decides where to spend more. I would say spend more on mobo + GPU and getting E7200 proccy than E8400 or Q6600, multimedia results just do not depends upon proccy.

^^
Thats why I mentioned 8400.
It fits in his budget.

Since he has specified 512 MB DX10 card ... He should have good enough processor for gaming then.
At 8k E8400 is fine.

both Q6600 and E8400 overclock 33% but u can overclock Q6600 on normal heat sink goes upto at least 3.0 Ghz but in case of E8400 u needed a better heat sink it cost about Rs1500.when u overclock E8400 the power consumption goes to 65W from 45W and 4MB cache more than enough and 6MB is useless but Q6600 is lit bit higher in price in compare to E8400.If u buy intel CPU Rs5000 u got cheaper heat sink and if u buy costly CPU its cost Rs25000 they give same normal cheap sink its crap man.Intel "SAB SE BADHI CHOR HAI".

UT3 use 4 core and 4 thread future games use 4 thread like alan wake.
