Angry ASUS DRW-1814BLT Acting up :(

My pc config is as below....i hv an asus 1814blt dvdrw drive installed, alongwith a liteon sohc-5232k combo drive.

I use nero v8.

today i wrote a dvd(in udf format) and my asus drive gave the followong error:
(excerpts from the log):

11:33:23 AM #24 Text 0 File WriterStatus.cpp, Line 113
<N: ASUS DRW-1814BLT> start writing Lead-Out at LBA 2231472 (220CB0h), length 0 blocks

EndDAO: Last written address was 2231471 (220CAFh)

11:33:45 AM #31 Phase 38 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1764

11:33:45 AM #32 Text 0 File SCSIPTICommands.cpp, Line 287
SPTIDismountVolume - completed successfully for FSCTL_DISMOUNT_VOLUME

11:33:45 AM #33 Text 0 File Cdrdrv.cpp, Line 11276
DriveLocker: UnLockVolume completed

11:33:45 AM #34 Text 0 File SCSIPTICommands.cpp, Line 450
UnLockMCN - completed sucessfully for IOCTL_STORAGE_MCN_CONTROL

And marked the burn as failed.
But when i put in the dvd in both of my drives it worked.
Confused,i burnt another dvd to the same end!Its burning failed too(according to Nero)! But was readable.

What is the possible solution?

My drive is alredy giving me problems...sometimes it even refuses to read pressed video dvds!
I m aware of the drive's problems----there are discussions in every other forum abt it,but my drive was ok till today....

What can i do?
