Question DVD Writer taking too much time burning DVDs??

I bought a SONY DVD writer 3 months back, it was working just fine until yesterday when i tried to burn a normal DVD it took 1 hr to burn 4.13GB data and when i burn the next DVD it took 1hr.30min
When asked a friend, he suggested to reinstall NERO 6.3.03(which i use) so i tried reinstalling but the problem remained same.
Then i uninstalled NERO and burned a DVD using Power ISO and it took nearly 45min which acc to me is still too much time.
I really dont burn too many DVDs so what could be the problem? Can u guys help me out here..??
I have intel Pentium 1.6Dual Core, 1GB RAM,945 Board,160GB IDE HDD,Winxp SP2 installed, SONY DVD Writer

same as dheeraj told. This is called DMA reset, and interestingly. I had not seen it anytime last year in my Sony Burner or lappy's DVD burner anytime(always burnt @16x or 8x in less than 8.5 minutes and 12 mins respectively), just started seeing them from last 6 months, really do not what has changed in last 6 months.
