Dataone Modem problem....

Guys i am having this problem with my bb router.
I have a UTSTARCOM WA3002G4 ADSL2+ modem.
The problem is the DSL link led glows orange steady but no internet led! also i can't get to my modem's config page via _http://192.168.1.1_.
I am not getting the 'link' and with my phone line disconnected also, i am not getting config page.
the problem is nothing but hell. Ping telnet are also not working. can't reboot, reset or re-configure modem.
I said this to BSNL ppl and they shouted on me! and i am back to dial up....
Please give urgent soln.......

you might a replacement/repair of the modem or if not possible get a new one...
it could probably be the modem being hit by spurt in voltage like lightning strike via telephone lines or electrical problems that have caused it to malfunction...

if not in warranty, then get a new one

Make sure you have done proper IP configuration.
Reset the modem to all default configuration.

try this modem on other pc.

@ravi, this modem doesnt have "reset" button

ya i think it is voltage problem.
but any other remedy to get all things reset? or is it final to get a replacement?

i have a dlink wireless router and faced similar problems.. after lightning strike somewhere and a boom!...router gone
internet light just light up and wont flash at all but still can login to router config..
u might want to take it to some engineer to check the circuit out to see what can be done...otherwise you can simply buy a new one if it not that expensive

and one more thing..did you configure the modem yourself when it was working..or have you ever configure the modem yourself from scratch..that way everyone would know that u at least know how to configure and the problem is one of the port or the ports are not working
