ADSL Modem
Which hardware is better and give max performance for ADSL? I have listing of hardware
TP Link
D Link
Aleekor
Beetle
Billion
Shero
SMC
LInkysis
From couple of vendors I have heard that TP link gives bad performance. It heats up and have to restart the set up time to time. Aleekor and Beetle are Indian brand while others are Chinese/Taiwan.
Well at Last I have bought ADSL2+/Router w/4 Ports from Billion " Taiwan" Co. Let's see if this is better than other Chinese Products. It doesn't have a USB interface only 4 LAN ports. D link offered Phone out option too. So it will be a cumbersome to add a telephone line and use the modem same time. The splitter goes at the direct line!!Last edited by stellar; 23-07-2008 at 11:04 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Re: ADSL Modem
Linksys > D-Link (
Beetle and netgear are good, do not know other names. TP-Link is really not a very good performer, its just cheap product.
Also have not seen much of beetle networking hardware in the market.
Though I see Airtel gives Beetle ADSL model. And it has been working very good from the beginning.
I have seen the TATA Indicom routers also. Cheap adaptor
I have a 5-port switch of TP-Link, adaptor went cuckoo after 3 months.
All cheap Chines product come with even worse power adaptor.
