i want to buy a 500gb hard dsik.i am thinking about the new
seagate st3500320as from barracuda 7200.11 series.is it a good one.also quote its price and alternatives from western digital and hitachi and their prices and suggest which one i should go for?

There is seagate 500Gb sata2 HDD that has 32Mb buffer. It's an awesome performer but make sure your motherboard supports sata2 or not.

Western Digital 640Gb sata2 hdd is available for 4.2k I think
