Hello freinds,
I have a problem. I bought a Lite-On 20A4P . Manufacturer say it is UDMA 4 but My Win XP shows it UDMA 2. My BIOS shows it UDMA 2 but when i select auto detect, it begins to show UDMA 4, i save and exit and again it reverts back to UDMA 2.
I have a HDD on Primary IDE, and this Writer on Secondry IDE as Master, and a SAMSUNG DVD Combo as Secondry slave which is UDMA 2
Help Me !!!!!!!

Might be that the IDE cable you're using is 40 pin. Replace your cable with a 80 pin IDE cable and keep us updated.
How to check which pin is it ? how to find the compatible pin ?
And yes, on primary IDE, my Hard Disk operates on UDMA 5, so if that was pin problem, would that be possible ??????
