guys i purchased a new sata seagate 250gbs just 1 month back.....due to power fluctuation my hdd got burnt ,,,,the power pin smoked up.....
my questions r....:
will the seagate ppl replace the hdd????
if not how cud i get it replaced.....?????

Manufactured goods are covered by warranty against defects in workmanship, i.e., against failure under normal use. They are not covered against damage caused by external causes, and power fluctuation is an external cause.

Still, competition is so great in the computer hardware market that they may accept it if you don't mention the power fluctuation.

nope i didnt hv ups.......but the burnt pin is so much visible.....
