Default which of these comps would u choose?

hey all! i have long been due for a computer upgrade and finally i have tallied these three different rigs to choose from. now all three seem like pretty good buys so i really cant decide upon any one of them so could u guys please give me some advise as to which one would be the best buy?

[shop assembled]

INTEL Core2 Quad Q9300
ZALMAN CNPS9500 cpu cooler
western digital raptor 150gb
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F1 - 750 Gb x 2
crucial Ballistix - 4 Gb 800MHz
ANTEC Nine Hundred Cabinet
ANTEC NeoPOWER 550W PSU
9800 GTX 512Mb XFX
ASUS P5KC mobo
D-LINK DWL-G510 wireless-n pci card
normal mouse
normal keyboard
LG GGW-H20L SATA - bluray writer/hd-dvd reader
card reader
some free original games like assassins creed, bioshock, crysis
vista ultimate
extras such as mousepad and external drive enclosure
price - round 90000 rupees

HP M9276.FR

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300
4 GB kingston 633mhz
1 TB Seagate
nVidia GeForce 9800 GT 1024 Mb
WiFi 802.11 b/g
dvd writer
unsure about mobo
wireless hp mouse/keyboard
vista premium
price - close to 65000

now my final choice is a lappie i came across a few days ago, it prolly cant compare to the other two in performance but it was really beautiful and specs seemed quite tough -

ACER Aspire 6920G
Core 2 Duo T9300
4096Mb ram
320Gb HD
16" 1080p screen
GeForce 9500M GS 512 Mb
blu-ray drve
Win Vista Premium
wifi a/b/g/n
price - near 90000

now the prices of the first and last are somewhat steep but i am willing to make the investment if they are worth it so could ppl please tell me what they think? thanks a lot all!

Go through the Sticky thread by Choto Cheetah, you'll find good configuration within 50K there.

thanks a lot guys! i looked at that thread from choto cheeta and the specs u just gave me nish_higher [btw ur gear is awesome!] & i tweaked my primary configuration so this is what i came up with:

Core2 Quad Q9450
COOLER MASTER eXtreme Power 500W
ZALMAN CNPS7500-AlCu processor cooler
LANPARTY LT X48-T2R - mobo
G.SKILL Extreme Series PK 4gb x 2 Ram 800mhz
COOLER MASTER STACKER 830 NVIDIA Edition - cabinet
ATI Radeon HD4850 - 512 Mb DDR3
WESTERN DIGITAL RE2 750gb x 2

even this configuration comes to just 90000 rupees but i was wondering whether i should cut down on the novelties [such as the expensive cabinet [15000 rupees!], the processor cooler & the dual hardrives and instead get an xfx geforce gtx 280xt or/and a core2duo q9550? would it be worth it or is it just best to get a good, all rounded config?

i also have a query on the hd-4850; its not very expensive if compared to cards such as hd3870 or gtx 260 or even 8800 gtx so can it hold up against these cards?

thanks again everybody!

I would advise that you wait on the Wireless N card, It is a draft standard and there might be connectivity issues!

X48 is almost a dead chipset and it supports DDR3.Q9450 is just about its price.i'd suggest u wait for a better quad core proccy if u wanna spend that much.otherwise Q6600 easily gives the same performance when OCed.
And yes you are spending more on looks rather than getting good hardware (no offence).get CM690 and use the rest for building a monster PC.
A single HDD is enough imo .

GTX series cards are easily beaten by AMD so its better to get the red ones.

How about this:

1) Intel Q9450
2) MSI P7NSLI PLATINUM
3) Corsair DDR2 1066MHz two 1Gb stick for Rs. 5750 (10yr warranty)
4) Western Digital 640Gb two HDD's each one for 4k (750gig hdd is around 1.6k more than 640gig)
5) dvd writer
6) cabinet of your choice but get atleast a 650W SMPS
7) ATI HD4870
8) Dell 24" FullHD monitor SE248WFP.
9) M-Audio Revolution 7.1 High-Definition 7.1 Surround Sound PCI Card for 7.5k
10) Logitech Z5500D 5.1 surround THX certified speakers
11) K/b and mouse of your choice
12) APC 800VA UPS

Default Re: which of these comps would u choose?

^^:thanks for the reply dude...well actually i purchased a hdtv a few weeks ago and i already have a home theatre to use as speakers so rite now my plans r just focused on the rig itself!

lol there r so many choices to consider! i have again altered my primary choice a little:

c2d q9450
g.skill extreme series pk 4x2gb ddr2 800mhz ram
sapphire hd4870 512mb
western digital velociraptor 300gb
msi p45 diamond
gigabyte odin gt 800watt
lg ggw-h20l bluray writer/hddvd reader
thermaltake xaser vi cabinet

now this rig is somewhat more expensive at just 100000 but i think this hits the sweetspot wat about u guys?
the bluray writer and the psu r really pushing the price up so i am thinking i mite change them to slightly lower configs and then buy another hd4870 to use them in crossfire, this mite be a pretty good idea rite cuz the bluray writer is a steep 12000 rupees and the psu follows closely at 10000 and i have a feeling they mite be a little wasteful at this point of time....

It's utter waste of money to go for Bluray. You can count the number of bluray titles available in India. Stick to DVD writer for now. Because, by the time bluray becomes mainstream, you will get bluray writer for some 7k or so.

For SMPS, stick to Coolermaster/antec.

Put the money you saved to get bigger HDD.
