Default SATA hdd on P3 ! ! !

my frd wants 2 add a SATA HDD on his P3 machine, as an external drive using USB kit ....


will it B recognized by his system ???

it will get recognised , but acc. to me , if its a P3 , then he shud get the USB v1.1 kit !

i have some doubt coz older pc`s wont record the whole size of hdd ....

yea it operates as an external drive that way..and any usb can recognise external drives..SATA is just the interface between ur hdd and the usb card.

hmm..if not shown--its due to the usb chipset.i m using a sata hdd on intel 810e2 mobo and works fine.

BT U ALL PPL R WRONG ! ! !

even with USB, his pc isnt reading this hdd ...... bt surprizingly his neighbour`s is reading it .......

although its a P4 ........ motherboard ka LOOCHA ........
