want a new lcd monitor for 15k

hello,

I'll be using the monitor for gaming, browsing , programming using visual studio etc.. . so i dont care too much about color reproduction.i prefer a matte finish.i found out that dell e228 / w248 have matte finish while ultrasharp sp2208 has glossy finish. so dell ultrasharp is no for me.

1. should i go for 22" or 24" monitor ? s-pva and s-ips panels are out of my budget. so i'll settle for tn panels. i'm not that much into movies .. more into games. . going for 24" will give me full HD but gaming at native resolution is next to impossible.

2. i was eyeing the dell e228wfp and e248wfp . samsung 226bw and lg l22 models also appeared attractive with low response times. .what do you guys say ? any links to reviews will be helpful .. is the 5ms response time in dell models good enough ? do they cause ghosting ? i am inclined towards dell because of their good aftersale support and also i might get at a lower price cause my uncle is a dell employee. . between dell 22 and 24 , what do u guys say ? and what about the monitors from samsung and lg . i dont want view sonic.

3. i dont care about usb ports / webcam etc.. but i want dvi-d input.

ok . i did a bit of reading.

LG L226 WTQ - xbit labs says RTC erros are too much that its not comfortable for usual tasks like browsing .
what do u guys say ?

samsung 2243 NWX - 1.no dvi-d port. ( am i wrong ? ) 2. 5ms response time which is same as dell which i can get at a lower price.

so , is it OK for me to drop to either dell e228wfp or samsung 2232bw ?

dell e228wfp - not happy about 5ms response time.
samsung 2232bw - whats the cost ? i dint see this in theitwares .. couldnt find many reviews by popular sites also ( any links are welcome ).

ok. after due consideration , i have eliminated dell e228wfp from my options because of the absence of RTC due to which the response time is not that good (5ms ISO).

between dell ultrasharp sp2208wfp and samsung 2243 / 2232 bw , which would be better ? whats the price of the samsung model ?

what exactly is glossy finish ? does samsung have glossy finish like dell ?

^^ out of my budget. dell e248wfp , maybe i can get , but 5ms response time and no RTC .. not good for gaming.
dell sp2408wfp - way out of my budget. . but i hear serious issues with input lag in this monitor.

Right now , i cant choose between samsung 2232bw and dell sp2208wfp. help regarding this and the price of the samsung model will be helpul.
