Video nquality poor with TV tuner

Hi Guys,

I have a Dell Inspirion 6000 Laptop.
My concern is when I use a Techcom 813 external TV Tuner card & connect a local cable
service. The program / video quality is Grainy and not as clear as a normal TV.
Is there a solution of this ?
Normal Videos & VCD's from hardisk/Optical drive play properely on my system
Any help / advise / tips much appriciated

( Techcom uses Honest TV software)

Sorry didnt have internet acesses for sometime hence couldnt revert back sooner.

well my budget was 2000 INR and I guess techcom 813 was the best I could find in the range..... true there were better quality TV Tuners however they cost near to the Rs 5000/- range ....I didnt want to invest in that category since in that case I can get a 21 inch TV - if you get my point

u would have bought a mercury tv tuner card for more cheaper

i bought 1 mercury tv tuner for 1300 3 years back

still working great

well had only two choice between Techcom & Umax .... Went for techcom which had a better review on the net

Well if I am rationale I think the poor quality is more due to poor cable connection & absense of any serious vedio card on my Inspirion 6000 - also I presume there would be some diffrence between the picture quality on TV & Laptop
