4850 will be much better than getting 9600 now

regarding ur config-above config with--
Q6600 for 9.7k
WD 640AAKS for 4200
CM 550W PSU or a
Cabinet-Cooler master elite series-u choose the model
PSU- Cooler master Extreme power plus 500 W or real power 550W.this motherboard has lot of issues with power supplies so i suggest u get the 8 pin one.check msi forums fr more.

My suggestion wait for Ati4850...its damn good. Also if you are going for Intel explore the possibility of Q9450 fitting in your budget, the processor rocks. Motherboard -- Abit for VFM and ASUS higher end P5Q series for features (express gate, AI nos etc). RAM -- transcend should be more than sufficient.

nope. no need to go for external cooling but for that card, 600W SMPS is a must.

In the current market, Dell monitor's have the performance and price edge over Samsung. Esp. 198WFP, 2208WFP and 2408WFP. These are just awesome. Loads and loads of features and rock solid performance. Moreover, you get 3 yr onsite warranty with these. Go for them.

thank you desiibond. im planning to go for the dell since the samsung models i had my eyes set on are no longer available in the indian market. i have a query though. Is a 600W SMPS essential to go with that card? i was just going through its power consumption charts and found out at peak it takes about 250W. please reply. thanks.

^^ that GPU takes 250W at full load.

There is a dual core processor, SLI motherboard, HDD, driver....

600W is necessary for stable power management.

Well..I too am looking for a system for gaming however with limited budget around 35 K or lesser. I am not looking for high end gaming, just willing to play latest AOE without any trouble. Also I would like a mobo which is compatible for coming trends!.

Any suggestions??
