Default RAM Issue...

I do have a laptop of HP DV1624TN model no. I've 512 MB RAM ( 533 MHz ). I want to install 1 GB. Is it possible to install RAM which has 667 MHz frequency? One stick I already have which is 533 MHz and another one I'm gonna install 1 GB of 667 MHz. Will my laptop give me d performance well or what? What should I do? or shall I go for that one or 533 MHz of 1 GB will be alright?

Please suggest me about this matter.

if your motherboard supports 667 DDR then yes u "can" install 667 DDR but it will also run at 533 Mhz. So go for 533 1gb...its better.

check the vendor site whether 667 MHz RAM is supported in your board/ But in anycase you should not use 533 and 667 parallely....that am sure.
