Default What's wrong with my monitor?

i have a viewsonic vx1940w 19" lcd monitor(max resolution--1680 x 1050)..the problem is-i cannot adjust the horizontal & vertical position of the display..the options are greyed out in the setup menu..i use an 8600gt graphic card..the input is through dvi..other options such as fine tune, sharpness are also greyed out...changing the resolution doesn't help..what should i do to adjust the display position accurately?

Same for me (198WFP). When connected to DVI, I cannot change H/V position. Check if you can change them by connecting to VGA.

If you are not able to change the horizontal and vertical position through nvidia control panel try changing through the buttons on your monitor (If available)

try using a different resolution. i think Viewsonic monitors have a feature to auto set the monitor so that it adjusts the Vertical and horizontal positions to fit the full screen. try using that.
