Default Suggest what to upgrade....

Hi....

I have been playing nfs prostreet for 3 months now. But sometimes it lags, and particularly when I switch details to mid ranges, it becomes sluggish when cars other than mine are displayed on screen.

Tell me the solution, as I am keen on playing burnout paradise if possible. And I want better graphics now for prostreet also.

Also, will purchasing an lcd monitor with std resolution of 1440X something will necessite me to run the game at that resolution?

Sorry forgot to post config...
My config is AMD Athlon 64= 4000, 1gb 667 ram, 250 wd harddisk, m2a vm Non hd mb, std 450 psupply..

I think 1000 to 5000. And for graphics card, my monitor doen't support more than 800x600, even though I am not upgrading. So, you get the idea... I just want better performance within a tight upgrade, if for example adding ram will give CONSIDERABLE boost, then only I would be buying..

But thanks for the suggestion, but budget constrains are binding. I setup my rig for about 13,300. And I am using one of the old 14" crt for the display. So no use of high end graphics, I just want the normal lighting and effects to showup correctly.

for a CONSIDERABLE boost, put in a gfx card...u will find the Asus EN8500GT silent (the one im using) in under 5k, if u get 8600GT then that wud be better...

if u have budget after adding the gfx card then get 1gb ram.
