Exclamation pc for around 25 k

I want a pc in which i can play hd movies smoothly and run mid range games like age of empires 3 in high mode and gta san andreas and upcoming gta 4
(cant say if it would be mid range) i have already the display a 32" lcd and onkyo 5.1 av receiver and may upgrade my screen for a hd one.

i have thought of the following configuration:-

nvidia 650i ultra- mother board
8400 gs xfx- graphics card
Intel core 2 quad q9300- processor
any 800 mhz ddr2 (may be transcend)-ram

i have my old optical and hdd drives so no need as i bought them recently

please rate my configuration and suggest alternative wherever needed

believe me, that 8400GS will not be able to drive a 32" monitor. To drive such a monster display, you need 8800GT or higher card.

1) E8400 or Q6600 for 9k
2) MIS P35 Platinum for 9k
3) 2x 1gig ddr2 800 Kingston for 2.3k
4) MSI/ASUS/EVGA 8800GT card for 11k

he's right abt 8400GS, it cant even drive a 24" LCD without breaking a sweat. Dont get MSI P35 Platinum, Get ABIT IP35e + E8400. Q6600 loses against E8400 in gaming. XFX 8800GT 512MB is a must for u. pls consider this suggestions and expand ur budget. Get Kingston Value 2GB DDR2 800MHz. Hmm..other wise its ok.

cheerz

Strictly for the budget get E8400 or E8200 - 9K or 7K if you want to OC it a bit and save some cash.
I don't think the 650i SLI supports 45nm chips natively - you'll need a BIOS upgrade - not sure here - you might also get the Abit P35 board 5.5K. And a 8800GT is essential for a 32" monitor - maybe MSI - cheapest and still pretty good. Otherwise get the Gigabyte OCed edition. 11K. Get 2 GB RAm at 2K. That roughly totals to 25K.

Abit IP35e is by far ur best choice for this.

You could also, SLI 2 8600GT s and get similar performance. But then, you'll have to stick to the 650i Chipset.
