Red face UPS Problem


HI guys I'm facing a strange problem with my UPS. Its APC 650 VA, only 1 month old. It starts cryin though its online. The problem has started from last week. Generally happens only at midnight. I usually keep some download n go to sleep and it starts cryin. It goes to yellow, does some beeps and then comes to green. Aftr sometime again goes to yellow and this continues........
I'm suspecting voltage fluctuation but can dat be such problamatic??
Plz help....mera rato ki need haram ho chuka hai.....any possible solution??

Yes. Voltage fluctuation may be the reason. Most UPS regulate voltage supply as well. When it falls below or increase beyond a limit, UPS starts supplying power from battery(as if no power is there). So it beeps when it changes from one mode to another.

Thanx for replyin..........but koi solution to batao.................main kaya karuuuuuuu...........

Sara raat mai yehi karta hoon................go there switch off d source and switch it on again.......its very frustrating............

If there is problem in the supply you can't do anything except using a voltage stabiliser. Install one at the main line of power supply for house. Don't think of using a smaller rating stabiliser just at the point where UPS is being used as its not advised at all.
