BSNl- HUAWEI MT841 Modem hangs.

I have bsnl dataone home combo plan.
My modem is huawei mt841 modem.It is the type IV modem.
When I run a torrent client abd dowbload large files for about an hour or so, the modem hangs.
The light get stuck and internet connection times out.

please help me to fix this problem.

On the same note, can someone please tell me how to setup the BSNL modem, which comes with a LAN port and a wireless connection as well? The BSNL guys gave me a printout with some changes which were to be made in the Windows network settings, but I lost it and need to setup again as I have relocated

@bbalegere Huawei modems are known to get heated during operation. This results in the modem getting hung and the connection getting timed out.

i am having the same problem with xp operating system.
i dont think it was due to heat problem.

once i ll unplug the usb cable from my pc and replug it, it will start working asusual.
but its a tempo solution

i want permanent solution.

and another thing, this problem dint arise when using windows 2003 server os.
