Combo drive not shown

My CD/DVD combo drive is not being shown under Explorer and Device manager. The power cables are ok and there are reading sounds on inserting a disc. I tried the registry method to delete the upper and lower filters. What's the problem?

This problem occurs because some registry keys are modified in the registry when you remove Digital Image.

try dis....remove the cables n reinsert them......check in bios..
