I recently got myself a cheap usb gamepad which looks same like a ps2 joystick and has all the buttons . Its manual say that it is a usb dual vibration joystick with macro .I am not able to use this joystick . When i check in device manager , there it shows that drivers of this hardware is not installed and when i click update driver then after the setup an error occurs which says :
There was a problem installing the hardware usb joystick
An error occurred during installing this device
A service installation section in this INF is invalid .
I am using xp sp2 . the driver cd that came along with it has a corrupted setup file .I think that this is a driver issue and not a hardware issue since light glows on the joystick when i connect it to usb port . Is there any way that i can get this thing running by using drivers of some other joystick .
