Smile Suggest new PC within 30K

OK that was the budget...And wht I want is:-

AMD Processor
Any good mobo may b of 'ASUS'
Upto 2GB RAM
250 GB HDD
LCD Monitor
Good Wi-Fi card (for internet)

I have rest of the hardware...enough for my needs
I just want PC for casual gaming and net purposes
And can I gt 'Win Vista Home premium' within the described budget or I have to opt 'Home Basic' ver.

Thanks for your patience

AMD X2 5200+ (1mb cache, 2.6GHz): Rs.4.5k

Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H (latest 780G chipset, Phenom processor support, dx10 onboard graphics with 3DMark 2006 2000 marks, DDR2 1066 support, PCIe2.0, hybrid crossfire, HDMI 1.3* certification, support Full HD 1080P, Blu-ray/HD DVD Full Rate Audio Support, gigabit lan) : Rs.5,800

OCZ Value RAM DDR2 (1GB x2 KIT) : Rs.2,800 or Kingston 2x1Gb DDR2 800: Rs.2.2k

Sony or samsung DVD writer : Rs.1.2k

APC UPS: 3.2k for 650VA

Logitech wired desktop k/b andmouse: Rs.800

Dell 198WFP 19" widescreen display : Rs.9.7k

Logitech X-540 for Rs.4.5k or Creative T6060 for 3.5k

Decent cabinet that fits your budget. Rs.2k

250Gb Western Digital or Seagate SATA2 : Rs.2k

Comes to around 31k without speakers and with kingston ram.

My sincere suggestion : For good quality display, only choose among Samsung, Dell and LG. Viewsonic, AOC etc are making really bad quality panels to cut price.

If you want AMd setup, stick to the latest 7xx series mobo's coz

1) Better support for ram
2) support next gen AMD phenom quad core processor
3) add a graphics card and you can still make graphics card and onboard GPU work in crossfire mode (like they work together to produce better graphics)
4) supports FullHD unlike the older chipsets that struggles to get fullHD out of it.

But IMHO, you can try this config and it will blow away the AMD's setup:

1) Intel dual core E2180: Rs.3k
2) ASUS DG31 or GG33 based board: Rs.3.5k or Abit IP35-E for 5k
3) 2x Kingston DDR2 800 1Gb : Rs.2.2k
4) MSi NX8600GT 256Mb : Rs. 4.5k
5)250gig wd or seagate hdd: Rs.2.1k
6) Dell 198WFP 19" display: Rs.9.7k
7) APC 650VA UPS: Rs.3.2k
8) Logitech corded desktop: Rs.800
9) Sony/Samsung DVD Writer: Rs.1.2k
10) Creative T6060 or Logitech X-540: Rs.3.5k/ Rs. 4.5k

Comes to 10.8k after all the "additions", though a great monitor, certainly not a VFM

^^^come on dude.

I myself bought it for 9.8k taxes included from a dealer. Do not order it online as dell charges a lot on it. Get it from a dealer. And yes, it certainly is VFM.

Yes I had to quote the online price because it seems that Dell monitors are not stocked by many dealers outside of Bangalore where its offices are located.

BTW Dell also revised its non-inclusive price from 9.2k to 9.7k in the previous week.
Inflation kicking in perhaps?

Dude, a 8800GTS would cost about 16k.. And Desii isnt getting a config anyways. And while you are at it, Why dont you recommend a QX9650 and a Asus P5E3 premium as well?

Sorry for replying late...

@paranj
I want latest windows...Vista is more safer and fast than XP...Also here 'WinXP Pro' n 'Win Vista Home Premium' cost same upto 6K...It may b diff. of 400-500 rs. only
But I can't comprmise n take risk for saving 400 bucks in the case of OS
