Default A Budget Motherboard for gaming & HDTV

Im gonna get a quad core Q6600 and most probably a eVGA 9600 GT.
Im looking at cheap motherboards about 5k as this combo already costs like 20k. I dont need on board graphics but i need 7.1 HD audio.
Ill also mostly get a LCD with HDMI input so do i need a motherboard with HD port like ABit I-N73HD (the problem here with 630i based mobo is that they only have single channel memory) or can i use the graphics card for HDMI ?? IM little confused about this..
How is Palit p35a ? Its really cheap but i cant find any reviews.
Other option is Abit IP35 which i guess is good enough. But what about HD?

When you go for a monitor with HDMI Port, IMHO the cost will be very huge.
Instead go for a graphics card with HDMI Port and buy a monitor with DVI-D Port.Buy a HDMI to DIV-D connector and inter connect them.

budget mobo?? go for the p35 based chipset. its good dont worry. although not sure abt the 7.1 audio.

budget mobo cannot be for gaming, but a good mobo should atleast support all latest config and should be FULL ATX..

I think HD 3850 or 3870 will be better for HDTV. it has got better HD decoding nd features. And also got HDMI with support for 7.1 digital audio integrated, which nvidia lacks.
Even if some manufactureres were able to convert DVI to HDMI, there is no audio o/p for nvidia cards.

u cant use onboard HDMI if u use a card. The card ned to have HD decoding nd HDMI port. Almost 90% of ATI's HD 3850/70 cards comes with HDMI adapter[but no cable which will cost u ,in of 2.5k for an avg quality one]

Yea i was talking about the Dell SP2208. My friend works for them so i might get a discount. So the palit P35 is good enough? If i can use the 9600GT for HD ill go for a cheaper LCD and get a HDMI - DVI converter.. There's no loss of quality in doing this right?
Sry i wasnt looking at at my thread past few days, but thanks to you all for your replies.
