sound driver error

after reinstall xp i try to install soundmax driver but it dont complete installation and giver error "driver not found! reboot your system & run this setup again". i dont have sound on my pc. what i do to get it back?

have you got your mobo driver CD, this is the issue with some of the XP SP2 installations, you need to instal the drivers from your mobo disc or download the correct drivers from the net whatever suits you.
