Default Doubt in assembling PC. Please HELP.......

Hi guys,
i am assembling my pc. all things are done except the CPU. i lowered the CPU directly, and the notches are definitely matching......

But the problem is that the load plate appears sloping, (ie not perfectly flat) when lowered overed the CPU. is this normal??? i am not confident enough to engage the lever and lock it in place......

Please help.....

Make sure the notches r in place and just place the proccy on the socket. Apply NO force.

EDIT: everything done. but the everest program is showing mobo temp as 88*C. why is it so high? i switched off the pc and immediately touched the mobo heatsink, and i couldnt feel any high temps... whats going on???
the cpu temp at idle is 45-48*C.
gpu around 51*C.
