Default I hv no Boot:(

Guys,

My pc getting critial problem since last evening. When i power on my system & start work in software like vs 08, office 07 etc. after sometime either it restarts or shuts down & power remains but doesn't boots when i press power button or restart button instead i have to restart UPS & then OS boots successfully. Again same thing happens.

As i think there is problem with SMPS, HDD or OPTICAL DRIVE. I checked SMPS by leaving PC on whole night but it didn't act the same thing. It means SMPS is OK.

Now HDD & OPTICAL remains but i am confused to rectify the problem.

By the way my PC's mainboard doesn't have 2 IDE port instead it has 1 IDE & 4 SATA2 ports, so i have connected both IDE serial devices i.e. HDD & OPTICAL via single IDE cable by setting OPTICAL to primary master slave.

Is this problem, i mean i need to use SATA HDD??

If not what wud the problem??

Plz guys help me. . . .

Config of my sys is:
Vista ultimate
Intel Dual Core 1.8
Intel 965 motherboard
160 GB HDD
Smsng DVD+RW
