Deactivated the Windows/Open File after Few Second ??

Hai ! Everyone,

I have a small problem with my system.
Operation System : XP SP2
When I open any files/windows , suddenly after few second the active windows deactivated automatically.

Kindly suggest me some tips

active windows gets deactivated what does that means.
do you wanna say explorer freezes or what. If that the case then it may be trying to read.
So, my second question would be does it come back to life after again, I mean does it becomes active again

here the my prolem with examples ??
Eg : I open two notepad for different files name
1. My typing on new text file.
2. Is a Old text file.
When I'm typing on my new text file suddenly deactivated the open open file and come to active on my old text file.
So, when the both file is mixed up and I type misplace.

kindly suggest me some tips to solve this problem.

i have faced this problem in the past but mostly it gets sorted out by itself.

one setting u may check,
there is one setting somewhere in mouse properties where you can change the active window when you hover your mouse pointer over another window.

also check for some running programs in the background, this generally happens when some other program is trying to gain ur attention.
