Query :Reving up my PC ?

i hav n old Intel 3 with 128k Ram n one Samsung 4GB n one Seagate 40GB hard drive.
im running Windows XP proffesional n wud b willing to switch over to Linux if a solution is possible.I use the PC mainly for media purpose : music,video,downloading ....no gamin.
i wanted to noe :
if there is any way to use the Samsung hardrive to boost my speed (ram)?

Your rig probably should be pentium 3 with 128MB Ram
Yes, you can run & install linux - but I doubt if linux will run well for multimedia with only 128 MB Sd or ddr ram.
I'll suggest you to invest you in a complete new rig & use your old rig as download box.
No there is no way you can use your HDD to boost your system speed in place of Ram.
