Smile Xfx 8500 Gt

Hi,
I am assembling new PC
I game some times.

mobo Abit-IP35-E
Ram Transcend 800Mhz 1x2
CM 500W

I need a graphic card

What is the diff between GS and GT version.
I have a price list from Rashi Peripherals which
has marked some cards which have labels as 512mb
but have 256mb onboard and share the system
memory to make up 512mb.

I need a 8400 or 8500 card which does not eat
into the sys memory.Preferably XFX.Help

The GT version is more superior compared to the GS version.
Get 8600GT atleast.

yeah 8600gt is the minimum..however if u do wish to settle for 8500GT then i suggest go for ASUS 8500GT silent. its a fanless design and performance is great almost at par with the 8600. although fanless means no overclocking.

and dont think abt the video memory, theres hardly any noticaeble difference between 512 mb and 256 mb.

Go to xfx 850GT product page :
http://www.xfxforce.com/web/product/...riesId=1054322

& avoid the cards which says :
256MB SUPPORTING 512MB
