Want to purchase 500 GB Hdd.....
hi dear friends.. i want to purchase the 500 GB hard disk. MY pc works for 24X7 (at home) so which one i should go for please help me!!!!

WD provide 5 years warranty.
Mine one has onsite 5 years warranty!

Yeah the page says the Caviar has 3 years warranty.
OMG!!! this means i have Raptor HDD!!!!!!!!!!! Just kiddin..
Policy might have been changed, but mine is 5 years.
If this is the case, then go for Seagate!

Be very careful with the WD brand.It's been only 3-4 months with my 320GIG HDD & it's already coughing up with issues.The drive doesn't detect at all.My friend had warned me about the similar issues.Looks like these drives are plagued.Anyway go with either a Seagate or Hitachi HDD.

All internal WD harddrives carry 5 year onsite warranty in India. I dont recommend seagate.....from my experience seagate drives get bad sectors much more quickly than WD drives. In bangalore Seagate 500 GB = 3900+4%vat.
