help with grafix card purchase!!

hey guys,i need some help..iam planning to get a XFX Geforce 9600GT(512MB)

card soon...i have an Intel DG31PR mobo iam using now...need to know if the card will work on the pci-e slot in my present mobo since the card uses pci-e 2.0 connections...also does the card consume lesser power than a stock 8600GT card?thanx a lot..

it will definately work... just u will not get the full performace of 2.0 card on a PCI-E 1.0 slot...

@ ashstud_83 That should work.
Also if you can go for 8800 GT gfx card that would be better bet than 9600 GT.

Are there much performance difference between pci-e 1.0 & pci-e 2.0
Can nebody tell me or point me to a reliable website for this

no performance loss coz 9600's dont utilize full bandwidth of 2.0

ya it's true go for 8800 kick 9600

Yeah 8800Gt is beast ( performance & overclock wise )
compared to 9600 GT which is a rabbit only
