Unhappy Pen Drive Woes!!!

Hello all, I am experiencing weird problem with my pen drive. I have just installed new system to my PC. Windows XP 2 , Professional Version. I updated all my USB drivers to new one. When I connect pen drive to my port , my PC restart every time. So, I uninstalled it and kept the drivers provided with my system. The same problem persisted. So I installed another drive from Ali. Now the pen drive is working.But, even though my drive to connected to USB 2.0 port, windows shows the message" The drive can perform faster if you connect it to high speed port." Can anybody help out of these problems.
Thank You.

Check whether the USB Legacy support is set to Hi-Speed (480 Mbps) or Full Speed (12 Mbps) in the BIOS.

@anand 1

I already have USB 2.0 card on my PC.

@realdan
Actually, I have all (i.e. 2 USB 2.0 ) port on the back of my cabinet. So I have attached a USB connector cable, to bring the connection if the front. I tried removing the cable, and attaching the drive directly to port, but to no avail.
