Default windows restarts


Hello Guys
I am Abhishek I am facing a problem in my system
My system restarts after some time and shows message windows have encountered a serious problem ( words are not same) .
I have a P4 3.0 Ghzs 1 GB ram 915 Intel Motheroard

I have currently installes a ram 512 mb (DDR 400) with my old 256 X 2 ram (DDR 333)

both my old rams are in same colour slot and other is in other slot .

u can only install ram that are of the same frequency and speed

Not really, you can have rams of different frequency, only that it will run at a frequency of the slower module. So the higher speed one will get underclocked.

But it is always adviced to have rams of same specs.

@ramdas
Try to repair your windows installation. Firstly, take out one of the ram modules and see if the problem still exists, same way check the other module also.

Try windows in safe mode once..and see the result.

It can be due to overheating, check the processor fan clean it and check
