Laptop Advice

Hi,

I am going to buy a laptop soon and shortlisted the following models.

Budget: Rs. 55,000 (approx)

Type of work: Software programming (with higher memory & processor needs), some entertainment, occasional gaming.

Models:
-------
1. HP Pavilion dv6767x or dv6703tx
2. Dell XPS M1530
3. Lenovo Thinkpad R61 8932A21
4. Sony Vaio VGN-CR35 (only issue is 14.1" screen, but I prefer 15.4" screen)

Please recommend one model among the above four. Other suitable models are also welcome.

I wud prefer dell. But in case u want laptop sooner, go for HP 6703TX. I hav been using it for sometime now and havent faced any problem. Also the performance is gr8.

Regarding Dell XPS M1530, I noticed in various website forums that it has hard disk noise and screen-not-so-good issues. Can any user of this model please confirm this ?

About hard disk, I m not sure if it is true.. but yes, I find HP screen better then Dell ones..

if u prefer hp- have a look at their new series - dv3000 - for around 55k you will get penryn+ 13.3inch+ nvidia 8400gs
